Yozo.ai, a UAE-based startup founded in early 2025, has announced the successful closing of a $1.7 million pre-seed funding round to advance the development of its AI-native revenue engine. The platform is designed to automate tasks traditionally handled by customer growth and retention teams in e-commerce companies, enabling brands to unlock untapped revenue opportunities through intelligent, autonomous workflows.
The funding round was co-led by Access Bridge Ventures and Disruptech Ventures, with participation from Arzan VC, Oraseya Capital, Plus VC, Suhail Ventures, Glint Ventures, and M-Empire Angels, reflecting strong investor confidence in the company’s vision and execution capabilities.
Addressing a Critical Conversion Gap in E-Commerce
Yozo.ai targets one of the most persistent challenges in the e-commerce sector: the gap between shoppers who demonstrate purchase intent and those who ultimately complete a transaction. Industry data indicates that most e-commerce brands record conversion rates of no more than 3%, meaning that nearly 97% of potential customers who are aware of a brand and show genuine interest fail to convert.
Despite representing billions of dollars in unrealized revenue, this opportunity often remains untapped due to the complexity of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategies. Managing segmentation, timing, experimentation, and personalization at scale typically exceeds the capacity of most internal teams.
An AI-Native Revenue Engine
Unlike traditional solutions that merely provide additional tools, Yozo.ai is building a fully autonomous revenue engine that operates as a self-contained growth system. The platform functions as a virtual growth team, combining the roles of a data analyst, copywriter, and experimentation specialist within a single AI-driven system.
The engine designs and launches email, WhatsApp, and SMS campaigns, runs multivariate experiments, measures real-world impact, and continuously optimizes performance without human intervention. This approach enables brands to execute sophisticated growth strategies around the clock.
Commenting on this approach, Yozo founder Hossam Ali explained that conversion and retention marketing requires managing an overwhelming number of variables, including data, timing, segmentation, and continuous experimentation—demands that most human teams struggle to meet. As a result, even powerful platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and Omnisend remain heavily dependent on manual effort, limiting their full potential.
Rapid Market Traction
Within just three months of launch, Yozo.ai has demonstrated strong early traction. The platform is already being used by dozens of paying brands, ranging from small online stores to fast-growing regional companies. During this short period, Yozo.ai has reached more than 250,000 end customers on behalf of its clients through automated flows and targeted campaigns.
This early adoption highlights the growing demand for AI-driven solutions that can deliver measurable revenue impact while reducing operational complexity for e-commerce teams.
Experienced Founding Team and Investor Confidence
Yozo.ai was founded by second-time entrepreneurs who previously built “Fatora,” an e-commerce and fintech platform that was acquired by a major regional investment bank in 2022. Their prior experience exposed a widespread industry problem: significant revenue leakage caused by inefficiencies in conversion and retention workflows.
Mohamed Okasha, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Disruptech Ventures, noted that his firm has worked closely with the Yozo team for several years and has witnessed their execution capabilities firsthand. He emphasized that the team is now addressing a global e-commerce challenge with a world-class product that was not technically feasible just a few years ago.
Issa Agabi from Access Bridge Ventures added that the firm focuses on AI-driven opportunities at the application layer across the region, highlighting Yozo.ai’s practical and execution-focused approach to embedding artificial intelligence into everyday e-commerce operations.
Expansion Beyond the Middle East
Looking ahead, Yozo.ai plans to scale rapidly beyond the Middle East, targeting global e-commerce markets facing high growth team costs, excessive reliance on manual processes, or difficulties in hiring specialized talent. The company aims to position itself as the default revenue engine for digital merchants worldwide, leveraging AI to transform how e-commerce brands drive growth and retention.
With fresh capital, early traction, and a clear global vision, Yozo.ai is positioning itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence and revenue automation, addressing a critical pain point for the global e-commerce industry.
