In line with Contact Financial Holding’s broader strategy to elevate the contribution of the insurance sector as a core driver of growth, the Group continues to expand its non-banking financial services footprint through integrated financial solutions that combine structured insurance protection with sustainable investment opportunities. This strategic orientation reflects the Group’s commitment to enabling customers who seek secure investment vehicles that hedge against market volatility while supporting long-term savings plans.
Strengthening Investment-Backed Insurance Solutions
Sarwa Life Insurance, the Group’s life insurance arm, announced a new strategic partnership with Al Ahly Financial Investments Management and Evolve Investment Holding, enabling customers to access gold-based investment products through the exclusive purchase of units of the “Dahab” Gold Investment Fund. These units will be incorporated into the investment portfolios of individual savings policies, offering policyholders a regulated pathway to invest in precious metals—particularly gold—as a stable asset that supports portfolio diversification and enhances long-term returns.
Consolidating a Long-Term Vision
This move represents an important milestone in Sarwa Life’s mission to embed real-asset investment solutions within its insurance offerings. By channeling part of the customers’ insurance premiums into gold-backed investments, the company seeks to strengthen financial resilience for policyholders and enrich the Group’s suite of savings products. Furthermore, the partnership aligns with the Financial Regulatory Authority’s (FRA) framework to promote financial inclusion and broaden access to transparent, secure investment alternatives.
Executive Perspectives on the Partnership
Rimah Asaad, Managing Director of Sarwa Life, emphasized the significance of this development, noting:
“Our partnership with Al Ahly Financial Investments is closely aligned with our vision to enhance the investment function within Contact. Recognizing the importance of savings instruments anchored in tangible assets, we made it a priority to provide access to the ‘Dahab’ Fund—especially as gold remains one of the most trusted assets among Egyptians. This step offers policyholders a credible and regulated investment channel that delivers real value, competitive returns, and improved alignment with long-term financial aspirations.”
Asaad added that the gold-based investment option is not merely an additional offering but a central component of a comprehensive strategy to elevate the efficiency of Sarwa Life’s insurance portfolios. By integrating advanced investment tools into its product suite, the company reinforces its commitment to developing balanced and diversified financial solutions that meet customers’ evolving needs.
A Reinforced Investment Framework
Adel El-Waly, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at Al Ahly Financial Investments Management and Head of the Supervisory Committee of the “Dahab” Fund, expressed pride in the partnership, stating:
“This collaboration reflects the confidence of leading financial institutions in our capabilities and track record in managing investment funds. The ‘Dahab’ Fund is among the most important investment products we have developed to help institutions and individuals hedge against market fluctuations and strengthen their portfolios over the long term.”
El-Waly further highlighted that the fund operates through a disciplined investment strategy that prioritizes risk management and full adherence to FRA regulations. Integrating its units within Sarwa Life’s insurance savings portfolios creates a comprehensive model that bridges insurance and investment, offering clients an opportunity to benefit from gold returns within a balanced and transparent financial framework.
