Bank NXT delivered exceptional financial performance in 2025, reporting a record net profit of EGP 3.17 billion, marking a strong year-on-year growth of 80%. The results underscore the bank’s robust growth strategy, driven by product innovation, strategic partnerships, and a continued focus on meeting evolving customer needs across Egypt’s banking sector.
Net interest income rose by 29% to EGP 5.03 billion by the end of 2025, compared to EGP 3.91 billion in 2024. Operating profit increased by 51% year-on-year to reach EGP 7.44 billion, supported by strong growth in the financing portfolio and improved efficiency in asset utilization. The bank’s total financing portfolio expanded significantly by 58% to EGP 51.31 billion, up from EGP 32.51 billion in the previous year, reflecting broad-based growth across corporate and retail segments.
The corporate and institutional financing segment grew by 51% to EGP 33.39 billion, while retail lending recorded a remarkable 74% increase, reaching EGP 17.92 billion. Despite ongoing global and local economic challenges, Bank NXT maintained a strong capital adequacy ratio of 22.02%, highlighting its financial resilience and solid risk management framework.
Customer deposits reached EGP 79.9 billion by the end of December 2025, growing by 17% year-on-year from EGP 68 billion, reflecting increasing customer confidence in the bank’s services. Total assets rose by 27% to EGP 100.74 billion, while shareholders’ equity surged by 87% to EGP 15.4 billion, further strengthening the bank’s financial position.

During 2025, the bank also strengthened its capital base through a fully covered rights issue, increasing its issued and paid-in capital by EGP 4.2 billion to reach a total of EGP 9.9 billion. This step enhances the bank’s ability to expand financing activities, accelerate digital transformation, and reinforce its position among Egypt’s fastest-growing financial institutions.
On the product side, Bank NXT continued to enhance its offerings, particularly in savings and financing solutions. The bank redesigned its monthly savings account to offer competitive returns of up to 18%, attracting EGP 10 billion in new deposits. The credit card portfolio grew by 85% to reach 50,000 cards, while card spending surged by 246% to EGP 4.5 billion, with outstanding balances exceeding EGP 1 billion by year-end.
The bank also launched new initiatives, including corporate and prepaid card solutions, the Infinite metal credit card for Private Banking clients, and the NXT WiN loyalty platform. Personal loans grew by 70% to EGP 13.8 billion, supported by diversified financing solutions and strategic partnerships, particularly in the auto financing segment.
In line with its commitment to financial inclusion, Bank NXT expanded its mortgage financing activities through a protocol with the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund worth EGP 2 billion, increasing support for low- and middle-income segments. The bank financed more than 13,000 clients, bringing the mortgage portfolio to EGP 3.085 billion, with growth of 71%. A dedicated “Mortgage Hub & Sales” center was also launched in Maadi to streamline customer processes.
Corporate banking remained a key growth driver, with continued expansion in syndicated loans, SME financing, and institutional lending. Non-government bond investments rose by 60% to EGP 2.96 billion. The bank also enhanced portfolio diversification and reduced sector concentration, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and resilient growth.
On the digital front, Bank NXT strengthened its technological capabilities through partnerships with UiPath for automation, Red Hat for secure open-source environments, and IBM for real-time monitoring and business automation. The ATM network expanded by 26% to 145 machines, with 97% upgraded, while transactions exceeded 4 million. The bank also introduced NFC services and mobile wallet capabilities to enhance customer convenience.
In alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and ESG standards, the bank’s sustainable financing reached EGP 3.62 billion in 2025, including investments in renewable energy, efficiency projects, SMEs, and financial inclusion initiatives. The bank also continued to expand its electric vehicle financing portfolio and issued its second GRI-compliant sustainability report.
Financial inclusion efforts included initiatives targeting women, youth, and people with disabilities, such as the “Tamkeen” and “Qaderoon” programs, the “15Teen+” account for young customers, and special campaigns like International Women’s Day offers. The bank also signed a protocol with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to support broader community engagement.
Bank NXT’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities continued to expand through partnerships with leading organizations, including the EFG Foundation, Elsewedy Electric Foundation, Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, and Orman Association. These initiatives focused on healthcare, education, and social support, including training medical staff, supporting technical education, and distributing food during Ramadan.
In recognition of its strong performance, Bank NXT received several international awards in 2025, including recognition for the fastest-growing credit card and mortgage portfolios by Global Brands Magazine, as well as awards for syndicated financing, local currency lending, and social media marketing excellence across Africa and the MENA region.
