Zerotech Enters Apple’s Global Ecosystem with First MFi Certification in the Middle East

In a significant step reflecting the advancement of local industry, Zerotech Electronics, in collaboration with the Electronics Factory of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, has obtained Apple’s MFi certification for its charging products, including cables and adapters.

This achievement positions Zerotech as the first company in the Middle East to secure this certification in this segment, placing Egyptian-made products within Apple’s globally approved ecosystem and enhancing their competitiveness in international markets.

Meeting Apple’s Rigorous Standards

Dr. Atef Abu Hashem, Chairman of Zerotech, stated that obtaining the MFi certification demonstrates the ability of Egyptian products to meet the highest international quality standards.

He explained that this milestone follows the successful completion of a series of strict technical tests required by Apple’s Made for iPhone/iPad program, which ensures full compatibility, safety, and performance efficiency with Apple devices.

A Transformational Step for the Electronics Sector

The certification of Zerotech’s adapters and charging cables represents a qualitative leap for Egypt’s electronics manufacturing sector. It highlights the growing capabilities of local production in adhering to global benchmarks in both quality and technical performance.

This development also reinforces Egypt’s position in the highly competitive mobile accessories market, where demand continues to grow for reliable and certified products.

Supporting Localization and Industrial Growth

This achievement aligns with the government’s strategy to localize industry and deepen domestic manufacturing, supported by partnerships between private sector companies and major industrial entities such as the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

It also contributes to strengthening consumer confidence in Egyptian products, particularly in high-tech sectors that require strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

Expansion Opportunities in Regional and Global Markets

Securing Apple’s MFi certification opens new avenues for Zerotech to expand into regional and international markets. The certification serves as a mark of credibility that facilitates market entry and builds trust with global partners and consumers.

Dr. Abu Hashem noted that the company aims to leverage this milestone to scale its operations beyond the local market, while continuing to enhance its production capabilities to meet increasing demand.

Egypt’s Electronics Industry on a Growth Trajectory

This milestone reflects a broader upward trajectory for Egypt’s advanced manufacturing sectors, particularly in electronics. It underscores the ability of local companies to meet global standards and compete internationally.

Looking ahead, such achievements are expected to attract further investments into the electronics industry, reinforcing Egypt’s ambition to become a regional hub for technology manufacturing and innovation.
