Orange Egypt has announced the appointment of Eng. Mohamed Shebl as the new Chief Business Officer, succeeding Hesham Mahran, the company’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.
The move aligns with Orange’s broader strategy to reinforce its position as a fully integrated technology partner, delivering innovative digital solutions to both enterprise and government sectors. Through Orange Business, the company offers a wide range of services, including tailored connectivity and internet packages, digital marketing solutions via SMS and email, as well as advanced cybersecurity and cloud services, all supporting Egypt’s ongoing digital transformation.
Eng. Mohamed Shebl brings more than 25 years of extensive experience in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, having held senior leadership roles at major global and regional companies, including Oracle, Vodafone Egypt, IBM, and Gulf Bridge International. Throughout his career, he has been a driving force behind innovation, operational excellence, and the development of strategic partnerships.
Since joining Orange Egypt, Shebl has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s technological transformation, contributing to its evolution from a traditional telecom operator into a comprehensive technology partner serving enterprises, government institutions, and broader communities. Under his leadership, the ICT division has expanded its portfolio to include integrated digital solutions, cybersecurity services, and cloud computing offerings.
Shebl is widely recognized for his strategic vision, strong technical background, and his ability to align ICT investments with business priorities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cairo University and has completed several advanced programs in leadership, sales, and digital transformation.
Orange Egypt emphasized that this appointment comes at a critical time to meet growing market demands, further strengthening the company’s role as a key enabler of digital transformation in Egypt, while supporting the digital growth of its enterprise and government clients.
