Empowering Egypt’s Next Generation: Al Ahram Beverages Champions Inclusive Entrepreneurship

Al Ahram Beverages Company (ABC), one of Egypt’s leading multi-category beverage manufacturers, has announced the continued expansion of its partnership with Orange Corners Egypt, marking two years of collaboration to support innovation and entrepreneurship among Egyptian youth.

This initiative, under the umbrella of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and executed by Outreach Egypt, operates in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, aiming to equip young entrepreneurs with mentorship, exposure, and tools to build sustainable businesses.

Strengthening Egypt’s Innovation Ecosystem

The partnership highlights ABC’s deep commitment to economic empowerment and inclusive growth, aligning with Egypt Vision 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As part of the collaboration, ABC hosted over 50 entrepreneurs from across Egypt—including Upper Egypt and the Delta—at its Sharkia manufacturing facility, offering them interactive mentorship sessions led by senior leaders from departments such as supply chain, production, finance, sustainability, and logistics.

Participants engaged directly with ABC’s leadership team, gaining valuable insights into the company’s operations, innovation approach, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Supporting Inclusive and Sustainable Growth

“Our partnership with Orange Corners is a powerful example of how the private sector can nurture the next generation of Egyptian innovators,” said Nikolay Mladenov, Managing Director at ABC. “Nearly 90% of our raw materials are sourced locally, underscoring our belief in the strength and potential of Egyptian talent.”

Cherine Aidarous, Head of Corporate Affairs at ABC, added: “Over the past two years, we’ve supported more than 250 entrepreneurs and celebrated the graduation of nearly 140 startups—almost half of whom are women. This partnership reaffirms our commitment to inclusive innovation and the empowerment of Egypt’s youth.”

Orange Corners Expands National Reach

In 2025, Orange Corners Egypt welcomed 100 new startups from the Delta into its second cycle and launched a new cohort in Luxor, further broadening its reach.
Earlier this year, 30 startups from Upper Egypt were awarded innovation grants, selected from over 1,200 applicants—a reflection of the growing strength and competitiveness of Egypt’s entrepreneurial landscape.

Dalia El Nazer, Programme Manager at Orange Corners Egypt, commented: “Private sector engagement is vital for a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our partnership with ABC demonstrates how businesses can move beyond CSR to actively shape Egypt’s future of innovation and job creation.”

Investing in Egypt’s Industrial and Environmental Future

With a legacy spanning over 120 years, Al Ahram Beverages employs nearly 1,500 people across four production facilities and continues to invest heavily in Egypt’s industrial development.
In 2023, ABC invested €30 million to expand production capacity, boost exports, and enhance sustainability. Its Sharkia plant, one of the company’s most advanced sites, added two new high-efficiency production lines, achieving a 50% reduction in water and energy consumption while maintaining 100% PET circularity for two consecutive years.

Driving Vision 2030 Through Industry and Innovation

Through continuous investment, sustainability initiatives, and youth empowerment programs, Al Ahram Beverages Company continues to reinforce its position as a leading force in Egypt’s Vision 2030, promoting industrial growth, environmental responsibility, and inclusive innovation that drives the nation’s sustainable future.
